Complete Description: Salesforce Architect specializing in Salesforce and MuleSoft, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions to meet the business needs of the State of Ohio. This position requires a deep understanding of both Salesforce and MuleSoft platforms, exceptional technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Salesforce and MuleSoft Expertise:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the Salesforce platform, staying updated on the latest features, best practices, and industry trends.
- Act as the integration expert utilizing the MuleSoft platform, demonstrating an understanding of API architecture, best practices, and expertise.
- Lead the development and maintenance of the overall technical architecture for new development using Salesforce and MuleSoft platforms.
- Design scalable and efficient solutions aligning with business requirements and long-term strategic goals.
- Solution Design and Development:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, including business analysts, developers, project managers, and development managers.
- Create detailed technical specifications, architectural diagrams, and solution documentation.
- Oversee the development and implementation of application and systems architecture using Salesforce and MuleSoft solutions, ensuring code quality, scalability, and security.
- Integration and Data Management:
- Architect and implement robust integrations between Salesforce, MuleSoft, SQL Server, and other systems within the organization.
- Design data migration solutions from SQL Server to the state data lake, including transformation and governance strategies.
- Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Performance Optimization:
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization and enhancements.
- Implement best practices to maintain and improve system performance, stability, and reliability.
- Leadership and Coaching:
- Mentor other members of the architecture team, fostering skill development and growth.
- Guide technical leads from other teams on best practices and industry trends.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in software architecture.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Salesforce or demonstrated experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in software integration.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) strongly preferred.
- MuleSoft certifications preferred.
- 2 years of project management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of government regulations and compliance standards related to IT is a plus.
