SAP ABAP Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, interfaces, and reports in accordance with business requirements and best practices.
Collaborate with functional teams to understand business processes and translate them into technical specifications.
Design, develop, and optimize SAP custom applications and enhancements.
Perform unit testing and assist in integration testing to ensure the quality and reliability of developed solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve SAP application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior ABAP developers.
Stay up-to-date with SAP technology advancements and recommend best practices to improve system performance and efficiency.
Perform code reviews and ensure coding standards are followed.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including program specifications and user manuals.
Work closely with SAP functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
Participate in project planning and estimation activities.
Collaborate with SAP Basis and SAP functional teams to ensure smooth SAP system operations.
Evaluate and recommend SAP system upgrades and patches.
Collaborate with external partners and vendors for system integration projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7-10 years of professional experience as an SAP ABAP Developer.
Strong expertise in SAP ABAP programming, including custom program development, enhancements, and debugging.
Experience with SAP modules such as SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, or SAP CRM is a plus.
Knowledge of SAP Fiori, UI5, and OData services is desirable.
Proficiency in SAP development tools such as SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio, SAP HANA Studio, and SAP Web IDE.
Understanding of SAP integration technologies, including ALE/IDoc, RFC, and web services.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
SAP certification is a plus but not required.
Willingness to stay current with SAP technology trends and best practices.
