JOB Description:
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior E-Commerce Search Optimization Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving advanced search optimizations across our large-scale e-commerce retail website, specifically focusing on Solr and SAP Hybris. This role requires deep technical expertise in Solr and Hybris, as well as a passion for data-driven decision-making and cutting-edge search technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Solr & SAP Hybris Search Optimization
• Develop and Implement Search Strategies: Design and implement advanced search optimization strategies using Solr and SAP Hybris to improve the relevance and accuracy of search results.
• Faceting Optimization: Configure and optimize faceting in Solr to enhance user navigation and filter functionality, ensuring fast and relevant search results.
• Query Handling and Parsing: Optimize query handling processes in Solr, including the use of advanced query parsers (e.g., EDisMax) and boosting techniques.
• Relevance Tuning: Continuously tune relevance algorithms in Solr and Hybris using machine learning and AI to ensure high-quality search results tailored to user behavior and preferences. Advanced Search Technologies
• Generative AI: Leverage generative AI models to enhance search queries, improve natural language understanding, and provide personalized search experiences within Solr and Hybris environments.
• Vector Search: Implement and optimize vector search techniques in Solr for better handling of complex queries and semantic search capabilities.
• Machine Learning Integration: Integrate machine learning models to predict and improve search relevancy, user intent detection, and result ranking in Solr and Hybris. Data Analysis and Reporting
• Performance Monitoring: Use advanced analytics tools to monitor site performance and identify optimization opportunities related to search functionality in Solr and Hybris.
• A/B Testing: Design and execute A/B tests to measure the impact of optimization changes and make data-driven decisions to improve search performance.
• Reporting: Generate regular reports on search performance, optimization efforts, and overall site performance metrics. User Experience (UX) and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
• UX Improvement: Collaborate with the UX/UI design team to optimize site navigation, layout, and overall user experience, focusing on search functionalities in Solr and Hybris. • CRO Strategies: Implement and test conversion rate optimization strategies related to search, ensuring a seamless user journey from search to purchase.
• Customer Journey Analysis: Analyze customer behavior and journey through the site to identify areas for improvement in search experience. Technical Skills and Knowledge
• Solr Expertise: Deep understanding of Solr, including advanced configurations, query parsers, faceting, and indexing techniques.
• SAP Hybris Experience: Extensive experience with SAP Hybris and its integration with Solr, including Hybris search configurations and customizations.
• Generative AI and Machine Learning: Experience with generative AI models (e.g., GPT) and machine learning techniques for search optimization.
• Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) for developing and integrating search optimization solutions in Solr and Hybris environments.
• CMS Platforms: Experience with content management systems (e.g., SAP Hybris) and their search functionalities. Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in search optimization with Solr and SAP Hybris, preferably within e-commerce.
• Technical Expertise: Proven experience with Solr and SAP Hybris, including advanced optimization techniques and integrations
