SDET / QA Engineer

Local to Bay Area only

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for test cases automation. You will work with software developers to test their work using a variety of tools, automating API and UI test cases, ensuring that the software functions according to requirements.

  • Competence Area 1 – Java
  • Competence Area 2 – Selenium and Apache Http Client
  • Competence Area 3 – API/GUI test automation

This team is responsible for building Client's highly scalable, globally distributed, real-time interconnection platform, and are looking for a Senior QA Engineers.

Skills:

  • BS in computer science or equivalent with 5+ years or MS in computer science or equivalent with 4+ years hands on professional software development experience with a variety of different testing techniques such as UI Testing, Automated Testing, Test Driven Development Strategies and other
  • Strong expertise skills in hands-on API Automation with at least 95% coverage of all APIs with Behavioral Driven Testing using Cucumber, Karate etc with Java.
  • Expert level in UI Automation around 80+% coverage with Selenium Web Drivers along with Java Script & Java programming skills.
  • Quick debugging capabilities of any API & UI issues by checking logs, tools like AppDynamics, Developer Tools, Data Base, Swagger, Postman and raise issues to developers with good details of issue.
  • Experience with SDLC including unit tests, code management tools (Gitlab) and deployment tools (Jenkins), JIRA, Test Reports using Jacoco, etc.
  • Strong experience in developing automation using frameworks like Selenium and Apache Http Client
  • Knowledge of Unix, SQL, Java, JSON and source control Git desired
  • Real-world experience with continuous integration and delivery is required
  • Hands-on experience with Agile-scrum methodology and Test-driven development.
  • Test Cases, Test Scenarios, Test Plan, Test Data Preparation and setup end to end based on requirements is must.
