Description

Requirements for this position:

  • 5-7 years of Cyber Security analyst experience.
  • Exp. with security tools such as SIEM's (Ideally splunk),
  • Experience with monitoring tools and sniffers.

    Client Job Description:

    General Purpose of the Position:

    The purpose of this position is to assure the security posture of the Switch Information System and Assets. This may
    include monitoring systems for unauthorized access, unauthorized use, intrusion, data exfiltration, and other malicious activity with the goal of finding and preventing evil.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:


This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Information Security Analysis of the entire Switch Information System.
Conduct vulnerability assessments on a variety of operating systems.
Design and build dashboards in SIM environments.
Streamline vulnerability assessment technology for faster and more effective scans.
Monitor for threats and provide closure on anomalies and events.
Provide management with status of security posture on a frequent basis.
Mentor junior staff members on security practices, protocols, and analysis principles.
Other Duties:
Troubleshooting and Incident Response when needed.
Performs other duties and special projects as needed and directed.

Required Job Skills:

Strong Knowledge Cisco Products.
Strong Information Security experience.
Strong familiarity with network security practices and protocols.
Must be a fit within Switch's Corporate Culture.
Self-Starter.
Strong Understanding of Information Security practices and principles.
Strong Understanding of well-known protocols such as HTTP, SMTP, etc.
Strong Ability to identify anomalies from various log sources.
Excellent communications abilities.
Strong Ability to assess threats.
Competence in pivoting within various technologies during incident response cycles.
Ability to document current and future technologies for procedures and playbooks.
