Security Engineer I

The SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) Operations Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Pacific Life’s SailPoint environment. This is a fast-paced, challenging, and highly visible role that frequently engages with various technology and business partners to operate several critical identity and access management (IdAM) services.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor SailPoint IIQ environment health and operations. Address events, warnings, alerts, and user inquiries regarding all SailPoint capabilities, engaging with partner Technology teams and external partners and support as necessary.
- Monitor ITSM (ServiceNow) case queues to manage incidents, requests, and changes.
- Manage (configure, stage, test, communicate launch, monitor, and troubleshoot) SailPoint certifications
- Configure, analyze, and socialize IIQ metrics and reports
- Respond to requests for audit and assessment data from IIQ
- Coordinate with the broader SailPoint IIQ team (development, business analysis, program management) to coordinate the modification and deployment of SailPoint services.
- Facilitate UAT with IIQ development and business partners for deployments and changes
- Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve services and solve underlying issues
Required Skills:
- 3 years’ experience
- Adept in BeanShell, Microsoft SQL, and SailPoint API
- Analytical and computer skills with business applications, such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, reporting & presentation software and/or data management
- Demonstrated knowledge of SailPoint IdentityIQ (version 8+), with significant enterprise-level experience with IIQ operational support
- Independent self-starter with solid written and verbal communication skills
- Practical understanding of IdAM concepts and best practices, including authentication, authorization, certification, identity lifecycle events (J/M/L), RBAC/ABAC, etc.
- Significant experience interrogating and troubleshooting IIQ application integrations of various types (Logiplex, connector, JDBC, delimited file, API, etc.) – including aggregation, correlation, provisioning, etc.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, including utilizing these technologies for authorization, authentication, and provisioning
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Automated testing tools, Azure DevOps or other development lifecycle apps,
- Experience with CyberArk Core PAS, or similar privileged access management (PAM) tools
- Strong technical experience with authentication technologies and concepts, including SSO, MFA, and federation
- Technical expertise in various computing and cloud platforms (AWS, Linux/Unix, Mainframe, etc.)
