Basic Purpose:
To work collaboratively with product owners, designers, developers, management, and scrum teams to ensure fully accessible websites and digital products before they are released to the public. Has in-depth knowledge in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions. Works independently; receives minimal guidance. May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Responsibilities:
· Provide accessibility expertise to teams across the enterprise
· Develop accessible code patterns for developers to use in new products
· Help developers fix issues in their code to create more accessible products
· Consult teams on integrating accessibility automation into their processes with a combination of different accessibility and automation frameworks and tools
· Interpret accessibility audits, drive improvements and change, and facilitate accessibility methodology discussions across teams, including external vendors
· Co-lead annual and continued accessibility training for developers, designers, and testing teams
· Provide ADA-compliant solutions, including component implementation guidance and code samples, while complying with team goals and deadlines
· Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions that align with business goals
· Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
· Knowledge of accepted accessibility patterns and best practices, including an expert understanding of HTML and use of ARIA and intermediate knowledge of CSS and JavaScript
· Expert knowledge of accessibility barriers and how people with disabilities experience digital content, as well as the tools and techniques to identify accessibility issues
· Expert knowledge of accessibility standards and policies (e.g., WCAG 2.0 (A & AA), ARIA, ADA, Section 508, 21st Century Video and Communications Act, etc.)
· Advanced knowledge of Git and Jenkins
· Strong understanding of mobile and document accessibility
· Familiarity with SAFe and CI/CD pipelines
· Exposure to multi-platforms, and cross-browser testing and knowledgeable of trends for new browser versions, mobile devices and/or other digital applications
· Advanced knowledge of assistive technology (e.g., screen readers, magnifiers, alternative input, etc.)
· Ability to communicate to a wide range of project stakeholders (e.g., Executives, Managers, Designers, Developers, etc.)
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment in a hybrid workplace
· Ability to guide and coach colleagues and clients in one-on-one, small group, or large forum environments
· Ability to work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail

Desired Qualifications and Education Requirements:
· Experience in Internet or mobile usability/accessibility research
· Prior experience in accessibility consulting strongly preferred
· Knowledge of Selenium, AxeCore and Java preferred
· Working knowledge of End Client products, services, programs, policies, and procedures
· Candidates with an IAAP WAS or CPWA certification highly preferred
· IAAP ADS, CPACC and/or DHS Trusted Tester v5 certifications preferred
