We are a small firm in Oakton, Virginia – and we are looking to offer the right Architect an excellent opportunity for growth and experience as we expand our diverse client base. Our studio provides master planning and design services for religious, educational, and institutional clients, as well as restaurants, banks, and other commercial projects. We provide innovative design solutions in both renovation and new construction projects, and have successfully served many repeat clients for 50 years. We are excited to be joining forces in the near future with a multi-state firm with offices in Florida and Ohio, and projects nationwide, and are searching for the right Architect to be responsible for design, management and operations of our Virginia office.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in all aspects of project development from design through occupancy, The position requires a self-motivated individual who will:
Lead marketing efforts for projects in Virginia, Maryland, DC, and West Virginia
Lead local and remote project teams in the creation of excellent projects
Nurture client relationships
Direct and coordinate the work of engineering and other consultants
Meet project budgets and deadlines.
Be knowledgeable in construction methods, detailing, and specification writing, building code interpretation, and construction administration.
Possess superior communication and writing skills and the ability to be responsive to our clients’ needs
The position also includes managing the operations of the Virginia office in close coordination with the main office in Florida. A future stake in firm ownership is a possibility for the right candidate.
Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree
Virginia Architect's License, or ability to obtain through reciprocity from another state is required.
West Virginia, DC, Maryland Architect's licenses are a plus
Minimum 12 years’ experience
3D modeling/rendering ability
Proficiency in use of Revit and AutoCAD
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Legal work status
Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree
