Responsibilities:

Leads development of visual creative concepts and develops high-impact art direction and design in partnership with our multidisciplinary teams. This work can encompass large, complex, personalized and/or general campaigns and content across multiple audiences and channels for a variety of business area(s).
Leads visual ideation, development, and execution of social media creative strategy in partnership and alignment with copywriting partner(s), strategists and key internal stakeholders.
Leads presentations of creative concepts and visual approaches to business areas and key stakeholders to gain their support, while also collecting and applying appropriate feedback to concepts.
Aligns strategy, visual direction and thematics/concepts to the business’ objectives, strategies, audience(s), brand strategy & standards, messaging, and technology needed to achieve the firm’s goals.
Leads visual direction and organization of visual systems and bespoke campaign elements in collaboration with creative production and/or strategic partners and ensures the approved concept(s) remain consistent throughout a project’s lifecycle.
Leads and contributes to creative process improvements that impact the quality, efficiency, and value of the department.
Leads, anticipates, and consults with creative production, brand and marketing teams, external agencies/vendors and/or strategy partner to ensure project and brand-level goals are achievable through the lens of the Art Direction expertise.
Leads creative strategy in research, using research to inform concepts and visual approaches that work in harmony with copywriter’s and content strategist’s co-execution.
Keeps the project team updated and manages the sharing of critical information via project management technologies and other channels across multiple projects.
Establishes meaningful relationships and trust with key stakeholders, connecting project teams and strategic partners both inside and outside the firm when necessary.
 

Qualifications

7+ years of Art Director experience, ideally with an emphasis in omni-channel campaigns, social media and with experience in directing and/or creating video or animation.
A well-rounded portfolio that showcases a broad range of work in design, conceptual thinking and rationale — but also in media and execution. Please include a portfolio link in your application.
A Bachelor’s degree in design, marketing, communication, motion design/animation, film/video production or another related field.
An expert in Adobe Creative Suite and proficiency in general Microsoft Office usage. A directorial or program proficiency in After Effects, Premiere or another animation software as an additional plus.
Advanced knowledge of design principles and systems, social media-specific design and best practices, brand development + expansion and creative strategy, with an eye on emerging platforms, trends and media.
A growth mindset — actively applying techniques to improve oneself, alongside identifying and encouraging improvement among the team and the Brand + Agency.
An avid learner of all things design: design systems, typography, interaction design, motion design, technology, social media trends and beyond. 
Familiarity with and comfort working in waterfall- or agile-like project management environments.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Successfully communicating and collaborating with project teams, creative and brand leaders, multiple business areas, firm divisions and external vendors.
Personal project management skills — with the ability to effectively prioritize, manage and execute numerous projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
Highly self-motivated with a high level of attention to detail to do incredible work that elevates the brand.
