Senior Business Systems Analyst
General Description:
Senior business systems analyst analyzes business processes, partner with business stakeholders to document requirements, coordinate with business/technical teams for solution options and support implementation during development, QA & UAT.
Expected to support waterfall, agile (scrum, kanban) approaches. For agile implementations, this role may act as Technical product owner, business systems analyst, team lead as needed to support business teams and coordinate with development teams.
The role requires business analysis with critical thinking, problem definition, development of innovative solutions, identify automation opportunities and create reports, dashboards and visualizations to help others understand business needs
Healthcare experience highly desirable, especially healthcare Payer experience including Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP
Primary Responsibilities:
·Document business needs and requirements, solution design, acceptance criteria, function/technical mapping and coordinate with testing teams to document QA test cases.
·Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders.
·Independently manages the completion of assigned tasks ensuring priorities and timelines are met - Typically, manages 4 - 5 projects, affecting multiple departments, with significant departmental cost and impact.
·Supports system conversions and upgrades, contributes to the development of implementation plans, deployment and migration documents and provides support to facilitate system implementations.
·Participates in internal and external audits, reviews and inspections.
·Demonstrated technical and project coordination skills with the ability to coordinate and manage multiple, concurrent projects and to delegate responsibilities.
·Develops test plans, quality assurance and audit procedures for new systems or system enhancements.
·Demonstrated experience of implementing best practices in business systems analysis with tools, templates & process.

This job operates in a remote setting. While this job currently provides a flexible remote option, due to in-office meetings, training as required, or other business needs, our employees are to be residents of PA or the nearby states of DE or NJ.
Key Job Requirements:
Education:
·Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in information services or a related field is highly preferred
·5+ years’ systems experience in managed care and/or healthcare/health insurance environment, including 2+ years’ in a leadership position having broad oversight of systems or operational functions
Experience:
5+ years of experience in IT and business/industry.
Demonstrated experience in supporting Agile project experience & roles played
Demonstrated experience of problem solving, creative solutions and influencing solutions
Skills/Abilities:
Experience in health plan systems is preferred.
Communication skills with the ability to develop and communicate status, standards and other updates for key stakeholders.
Ability to instill confidence in the business and demonstrate the business value of IT.
Effective collaboration skills with technical, business teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to the IT.
