Senior Cloud Engineer

Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for the overall design, migration, management, and support of ARC's cloud infrastructure. Candidate will also be responsible for ensuring solutions are efficient, scalable, reliable, secure, and adherent to best practices in Cloud computing. Senior cloud engineer should always strive to improve our performance and efficiency, including via automation of manual processes and monitoring.

The Data and Analytics team is responsible building systems that help the Bank leverage the power of data helping a wide variety of users including front office execution services consultants, sales traders, data scientists and compliance.

The role involves working with large volumes of data generated at very high velocity, typically billions of messages a day with peaks of several thousands of messages per second. Candidates must have a passion for building efficient, scalable and highly resilient systems working in a collaborative environment with multiple stake holders.

Responsibilities

Any technological duties associated with cloud computing including design, planning, migrations, maintenance, management, and support. 
Provide high operational excellence guaranteeing high availability and platform stability
 

Requirements

Significant knowledge of cloud computing concepts and design
Significant experience with network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, HTTP)
Significant experience with all main public cloud providers and familiarity with others
Significant experience in monitoring frameworks for Cloud systems
Troubleshooting skills across application, network, and host layers
· Experience in testing and improving Cloud solution performance

Experience with support models and configuration management systems like Ansible

· Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and integrity

· Experience in the financial industry is a plus

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or similar
