Senior Data Scientist

What you'll get to do...

• Develop machine learning-based Risk models with a strive to make GoDaddy Payments one of the most secure and merchant-friendly payment facilitators
• Develop machine learning models to identify growth opportunities for GoDaddy Payments, enabling faster and more efficient expansion
• Proficient in applying both qualitative and quantitative methods to generate practical strategies, engage with collaborators and customers, and propose actionable recommendations
• Build data pipelines to prepare data for rapid learning in a scalable manner
• Design and build machine learning and data infrastructure by partnering with data and production engineering teams
• Develop new complex features to be used to build the next generation of ML models by combining techniques and business insight
• Provide data science support for go-to-market strategies and risk operations
• Skilled in collaborating within a technical setting with a diverse team to shape product strategy, establish needs, align resources, and navigate important achievements
• Proven experience in delivering technical and leadership presentations
• Flexibility to attend meetings in different international time zones at least 2 times a week

Your experience should include...

• 5+ years of hands-on coding experience with machine learning tool sets, including Python, SQL, and Spark
• 5+ years experience applying machine learning techniques such as Gradient Boosting, Logistic Regression, Decision Trees
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with data extraction, cleaning, analysis, and visualization; experience with non-structural data
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical collaborators effectively

You might also have...

• A degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or another quantitative subject area, or equivalent experience in these fields
• Experience in the credit card payments industry
