Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 7 years of experience in Information Technology.
• At least 5  years of relevant experience on DB2 Z/OS administration.
• Expertise in designing/developing logical and physical data models.
• Hands-on experience of working with following products

    DB2 Administration Tool

    DB2 Log Analysis Tool

    DB2 Object Comparison Tool

    DB2 Query Monitor

    DB2 Utilities Suite

• Experience on creating and modifying and maintaining database objects.
• Manage database definitions and accesses -– Grant/Revoke access on DB2 objects.
• Measure package performance using performance tools for DB2 and suggest query tuning.
• Provide performance, capacity and utilization reporting using available tools suite.
• Point in time recovery, disaster recovery, back up recovery. Planning and implementing backup recovery strategies.
• Provide project support in solving DB2 related Application and system related issues.
• Monitoring and proactively taking actions to minimize recurrence of similar problems. Running DB2 Utilities & Commands to monitor the DB status.
• Production data refresh and X-loading of data across subsystems.
• Scheduling Data maintenance activities like REORG, RUNSTATS, ICOPY, LOAD, QUIESCE, MODIFY, RECOVER
• Implement database maintenance/housekeeping processes.
• Running Check and Image copy utilities. Taking FULL/INCREMENTAL Image copies.
• Executing Bind PLANS/PACKAGES.
• Monitoring daily batches.
• Perform root cause analysis of infrastructure related issues.
• Interact and co-ordinate with application owners, operations teams – application, infrastructure, security, change and release management team and external vendors
• Create and maintain SOP documents on daily operations.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment including offshore teams.
• Co-ordinate with and mentor the offshore team as required.
• Must be able to work in 24x7 production support environment.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for support of systems outside of normal business hours.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience on Disaster recovery planning and implementation.
• Planning and coordination skills.
• Preferred experience of working in banking and/or finance domain.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Work on assignments that are complex in nature and require judgement, initiative, and technical/specialized knowledge to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutions.
