Senior Developer

Purpose and Objective: 
SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Senior Developer at our Newtown Square, PA location responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, and quality assurance of specific SAP product features in a development team.

Expectations and Tasks: 
Resolves complex issues within own area of expertise and supports others in resolving issues. Analyze and solve issues in existing and new code. Provide application implementation services typically within the boundaries of specifications and project plans. Design activities include requirements analysis and design documentation. Implementation activities include implementation, testing, and integration. Maintenance activities include error analysis and removal. Extend, modify or adapt existing designs but may also be involved in the development of new (sub-) systems. If acting as Team Lead the LEAN context, responsible for working with Scrum Master in promoting and supporting Scrum by helping everyone understand Scrum tasks, practices, rules, and values. Serve as 'servant-leader' for the Product Owner, Scrum Master and the Development Team. Facilitate Scrum Events on request or as required. Coach the Development Team in self-organization. Remove technical impediments to the Development Team's progress.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: 
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and 6 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. The company will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Work Experience: 
Experience must involve 3 years in the following:
JavaScript, Java, and Python;
REST API and Web API development using Java/J2EE and RDBMS; and
Frontend / UI development using HTML, CSS and Javascript.

Position requires at least 1 year of experience in each of the following:
Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Cloud Security; and
Secure Design Principles, Applied Cryptography, Security testing.
