Job Title : Senior Linux Engineer

PRINCIPLE FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILTIES
·         Support a multi-cloud Linux Environment (IaaS/PaaS/Containers) with multiple M&A and migration projects.
·         Support general administration of Linux Operating System and applications as well as providing a tier 3 escalation point.
·         Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve well-understood escalated UNIX-related tickets and issues to establish return to service.
·         Collaborate with other IT teams, management, and lines of business to provide basic troubleshooting assistance for large-scale outages and issues.
·         Implement Linux enhancement projects under the direction of Senior and Lead Engineers
·         Provide team leadership required to support a large, complex Linux based computing environment and an increasing transition to infrastructure in Cloud.
·         Utilize customer service skills while acting as a technical resource to internal departments and system users.
·         Manage day to day operations of highly virtualized Linux compute infrastructure.
·         Provide status reporting (availability, performance capacity utilization)
·         Create and maintain process & policy documentation.
·         Create or modify basic scripts to resolve performance problems and automate administration tasks.
