Senior Network engineer

Description: 
Lead the design and delivery of WIFI and LAN infrastructure and services for North America Manufacturing plants and Employee Campus buildings according to established standards and best practices. 
Coordinate LAN and WIFI network design changes in support of technology refreshes at Manufacturing plants and Campus buildings. 
Gather customer requirements and develop technical project plans (cost, timing, scope, contingency, and risks). Assist (as needed) in the resolution of WIFI and LAN technical issues. 
Participate in network change management forums. Assist with updating documentation and writing network change controls. 
Work with standards and engineering teams ensuring best practices and process improvements are implemented. 
Work with and provide guidance to IT Site Management, Global Enterprise Network Integrators (GENI), and Day One Service providers for WIFI site surveys, installation, and testing. 
Participate in the testing of next versions of LAN and WIFI infrastructure and services. 

Skills Required: 
Strong technical planning and requirement gathering skills 
Working knowledge of Cisco WIFI and LAN switching technologies

Skills Preferred: 
Knowledge of Plant Network infrastructure and structure cabling industry standards a plus

Experience Required: 
Technical Project management experience in a Network discipline

Education Required: 
Associates degree in Information Technology field or equivalent work experience in a Data Networking field
