JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior PeopleSoft Support Analyst's role is to provide insights and analysis of operations to recommend and/or implement solutions for improved processes. The analyst collects and processes data to initiate, develop, and recommend practices and procedures that focus on efficiencies, accuracy, and integrity. This role will support PeopleSoft Batch processing which will include troubleshooting, error trapping, and data analyses. You will identify problems, or potential problems and offers practical solutions. This position will support new initiatives in process improvement, process documentation, and change management, as well as document and train on existing process and procedures. You will be responsible for reviewing end-to-end processes, as an unbiased third party to ensure a complete understanding is obtained. This position serves as a liaison between functional units, and IT to provide analysis and communicates and coordinates systems and process solutions. These tasks apply to existing, as well as new processes and the systems.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Consulting with staff to understand varied and complex systems and the support processes that affect these systems. You will be responsible for learning and understanding how changing needs will affect the systems and processes and determining how system changes, enhancements and new modules will affect operations. Analyst makes recommendations for changes or new processes as needs change and develop.
• The analyst will work with stakeholders throughout Internal Shared Services to identify and characterize opportunities that would enable the business processes to become more efficient. The analyst will describe as-is and future-state processes, as well as design and document workflow and make recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness. The individual will lead several key process improvements projects and be involved in successfully establishing new systems and processes that result in measurable improvements.
• Recommendations may result in new technology initiatives, and in those instances the analyst is responsible for articulating the need(s) in the form of the initial request, reviewing the final requirements with IT prior to development, as well as planning and executing UAT (User Acceptance Testing), communication, and training of all resultant changes.
• For all reviews, analyst is responsible for defining, documenting, and communicating findings, as well as updating and/or creating new procedures and process flows. This includes the review and understanding of technical specifications of changes and the incorporation of these changes into the procedures and user process documentation. For changes in process, training may be required and will be the responsibility of this position.
• Acts as the subject matter expert for new and existing processes and the systems involved in these processes. Responsible for training and mentoring others on these processes through formal training, user workshops, or one-on-one training sessions. Includes creating and/or updating existing process and procedure documentation to include process flow diagrams and creating or updating training materials.
• Provides feedback to management regarding trends in processing problems, system performance, enhancement needs, and improvement opportunities. Develops queries and reports, prepares management reports as requested, maintains files and records according to legal and corporate requirements, and aids as backup if needed or volume dictates, as well as other duties as they may be assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Information Technology, Project Management, Analysis, or other related fields
• 7+ years’ experience in an Analyst Role required with Pay/Bill experience highly desired
• 5+ years’ experience supporting PeopleSoft HRMS, FSCM, or North American Payroll
• Excellent troubleshooting and error trapping experience. Working knowledge of PeopleTools, and Batch Processing.
• Expert knowledge of SQL with exceptional ability to collect, analyze and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data
• Working Knowledge of PeopleTools, Batch Processing, SQL Developer, Table Structures.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Change Management, Project Management, or Process Improvement Principles.
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must possess strong partnering, influencing, and presentation skills in interactions with all levels. Excellent written and oral communication skills required
• Detail oriented individual with excellent work/time organizational skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel, Visio, Power Point and Word required
