Senior Project Engineer

You will be working as Senior Project Engineer and will be part of Process Automation business area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and you will be primarily responsible for designing authority for an engineering discipline with medium complexity. Completing assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Your responsibilities
- Coordinating engineering discipline across several projects, providing technical support for testing, installing and commissioning activities, assisting in preparing proposal or presentation of engineering projects or programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc)
- Supporting contract managers in issuing claims (new or change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications etc.), providing cost effective quality solutions as per customer requirement and delivering within budget and contract
- Creating work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility, reviewing and approving scope, budget, schedule for assignments, ensuring quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost
- Completing risk and opportunity assessments, ensuring implementation of resulting actions in one’s area of responsibility, providing support and technical advice to colleagues
- Assigning tasks for and directs engineers, technicians and administrative staff and carrying out the project engineering schemes, line diagrams, providing guidance on graphic design, preparation of FAT, SAT related to the project
- Performing the tasks by following the approved engineering process documents, assisting customers on technical issues, interacting with official contacts, contractors and other staff within scope of deliverables
Your background
- B.E or B. Tech in in Electronics or Electrical or Instrumentation
- Minimum 6 to 9 years of experience in Automation world either through engineering, commissioning or testing of automation systems
- Experience in HMI or Application Development and working experience in power plants (thermal or solar or hydro or gas), closed loop control system for power plant applications and S plus
- Knowledge of structural and functional architecture of control systems and interfaces (Profibus, Modbus, OPC, IEC61850, etc.)
