Senior SDET

The Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will be responsible for driving the

adoption of automation tools and processes, resolving platform-wide automation challenges;

as well as developing self-service tools that enable continuous improvement across a suite of

software products in the PTLW division of Safe Fleet. The SDET will do everything an

automation tester does plus build testing tools and testing frameworks, and monitoring /

overseeing the overall automation status for a suite of products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø Provide automation solutions that will help integration testing efforts for software,

hardware and firmware layers

Ø Collaborate with other Senior SDET’s ensuring consistent approaches between

product lines and driving the standardization of automation across a suite of software

products.

Ø Provide technical direction and support related to technology decisions, automation

testing / scripting efforts and development initiatives

Ø Design and implement test automation frameworks.

Ø Manage the overall automation backlog and dive in hands-on into the development of

test scripts, focusing on the more challenging items that more junior automation testers

may not be able to handle.

Ø Collaborate with developers, program management, System Test Leads and design

teams.

Ø Drive new ideas and improvements to the existing build and release processes

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Ø University degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other related disciplines

Ø 5+ years of experience in an SDET role

Ø Strong coding, design and analytic skills

Ø Experience in multiple areas of automation: Component Level, API Level,

Integration Level, UI Level, Continuous integration / Deployment (CI/CD).

Ø Experience in defining, developing and implementing automation frameworks (UI

automation frameworks, data driven frameworks, as well as architecture and

infrastructure concepts)
