Senior Software Engineer (Guidewire Data & Xcenter)

Job Description

Develop and maintain data models to support business requirements and ensure data integrity
Design, develop, and maintain ETL Pipelines
Write efficient, maintainable, and reusable code using SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, GoLang, GoSu, etc).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our solutions remain innovative and competitive.

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Policy Center, Billing Center, or Claim Center.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database design and optimization.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, GoLang, GoSu, etc).
Proven experience in data modeling, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Knowledge of insurance industry standards and practices is a plus.
