So, what’s the role all about?

The Senior Systems Engineer manages, deploys and maintains NICE's production systems, virtualization, SAN, Public Cloud and other supporting environments. The Senior Systems Engineer will also be responsible for managing, deploying and maintaining our lab environment. The candidate would work as a lead on projects that are across multiple groups.

How will you make an impact?

Manage and deploy Windows Domain and Active Directory environment. 
Deploy Servers. 
Deploy and Manage Public Cloud Compute and Storage Set up and maintain server system and file security. 
Manage Lab and Production Infrastructure. 
Performing OS level Patching. 
Performing Systems and Hardware Level Upgrades. 
Deploy, Configure and Maintain Physical Storage (SAN). 
Monitor and optimize performance of servers. 
Manage Virtualization Environments. 
Maintain documentation of Environment and Processes. 
Work with vendors to troubleshoot problems and RMA parts as needed. 
Manage and deploy Linux server installations. 
Participating in an on-call rotation.

Have you got what it takes?

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience required. 
Experience Leading Projects and Delivering Solutions Through Completion
2+ years working in a Public Cloud environment. 
3+ years managing and deploying Windows OS Servers preferably in a production environment. 
3+ years managing and deploying Windows domains, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS and IIS. 
3+ years performing and management of OS patching. 
3+ years installing/configuring server hardware and OS. 
5+ years managing and deploying virtual environments. 
2+ years managing physical storage and SAN. 
3+ years managing and deploying blade servers/Enterprise Compute. 
3+ years hands on experience with engineering operations or enterprise operations. 
Experience successfully working in fast paced, production environments. 
Experience working within a team of IT professionals; taking and following direction and completing tasks and assignments in a timely manner with a positive attitude. 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
Must have good attention to detail, and the ability to make good, timely decisions. 
Be a Team-player, have a positive attitude and able to work with a distributed team in multiple time zones. 
Knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, SMTP and SNMP. 
Be a self-starter who is proactive, motivated and can work independently. 
Experience with Chef or similar technologies.

You will have an advantage if you also have:

Configuration and management of HP Enterprise Servers and/or Cisco UCS. 
Experience working with config management and automation technologies. 
Comfortable working with changing timelines and deadlines. 
Experience working with CloudFormation. 
Experience with Linux Server deployment and administration. 
Experience working in a global production environment.
