Senior Technical Consultant

What you'll be doing? • Lead the customer through on-premise product installation procedures • Set up change management and have a good understanding of RBAC • Create custom database, file system, and BI tool connectors/feeds using scripts and the Alation REST API • Populate the loading of metadata from databases, file systems, and BI tools • Provide input on new Alation features to the customer • Document lessons learned, tips/tricks, and contribute knowledge base articles • Troubleshoot any user issues within Alation You should have: • Minimum 5+ years of consulting experience in a lead role • At least 1-2 years working with Alation • Ability to work in the central time zone of the US o Ability to travel to Dallas and go on-site every 1-2 months • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skill to resolve technical challenges • Professional customer-facing communications and client-management skills • Experience administering Linux operating systems • Experience with Azure cloud deployments • Experience with multiple databases and excellent SQL skills • Experience with single sign-on, authentication configuration with LDAP and Active Directory • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker deployments • Python or Java experience using REST APIs • Experience with Hadoop distributions (Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR) and with AWS or Azure
