This front-end React/Redux developer role supports the ongoing enhancement of banner.com “site building” components managed by our Content Management System. This role will participate in the discovery and implementation of new CMS powered assets and components. The “site building” components are key to our merchandizing strategy support online sales and promotion cycles. This team supports our content stakeholders who manage the sales and promotion strategy for Kroger’s Home Page, Department Pages, Our Brand pages, and several seasonal pages.
• Identify and uphold Android engineering best practices
• Collaborate with designers & product managers to iterate on the design & implementation of our product
• Work with Backend Engineers to build and ship features
• Monitor app performance, watch for traffic drops related to app usability problems & rectify the issues
• Implement responsible design principles to ensure that our app renders well on most devices and is accessible.
• Stay up to date on emerging technologies
• Evaluate depth of knowledge of the React web platform, including calling APIs, working with JSON data, building layouts and components.
• Can evaluate and scope solutions to best solve current and future business needs (must have)
• Can communicate with stakeholders when required and others for similar engineering roles
What You’ll Need
• 3+ years of front-end experience with enterprise scales sites using React
• Partner with various stakeholders and product management to determine overall technical feasibility of proposed work
• Work in a large-scale multi-team environment to support e-commerce business goals
• Strong React, Jest / Enzyme, TypeScript, HTML, CSS / SASS knowledge is critical to this role
• Ability to partner with QA engineers to support functional testing frameworks
• Play a critical role is the development and support of multi-banner UI/UX CMS powered React assets.
• Supports feature enhancements of existing code, projects and the resolution of technical debt
• Integrate analytics planning into all net new and existing assets to allow for business measurement planning
• Experience with Scum / Kanban or other software development methodologies
