Job brief
System Administrator schuld maintain, upgrade and manage RFID/AFSAC project Infra, software, hardware and networks. He should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. He should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.
His goal will be to ensure that RFID/AFSAC Project technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Install and configure software and hardware
Manage network servers and technology tools
Set up accounts and workstations
Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops/desktops, software, and hardware.
Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
Troubleshoot issues and outages
Knowledge of system security through access controls (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup, recovery and firewalls
Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
Able to Upgrade systems with new releases OS and patches
Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
Build an internal technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly
Monitor datacentre health using pre-existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed
Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, Soft and hard phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.
Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups
