Job: Software Procurement Coordinator
Location : REMOTE
required to report onsite at the start and the end of the contract to inventory and confirm the condition of Commonwealth issued equipment. CEDC will not send or accept equipment through the mail.
*Remote position but must be able to report on-site at least first/last days of engagement to inventory equipment*
The Conservation and Environment Delivery center is looking for someone to help manage its software procurement approval process. This position will focus on facilitating and processing the software requests received by the delivery center from its agencies, ensuring that there is good communication with our customers throughout the process. The approval process is long and complex, and there is currently a backlog of requests. To succeed in this position, candidates will need to be organized and detail oriented, as well as possess excellent customer service skills.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
•Working directly with customers in our agencies to document and process software procurement requests.
•Gathering, preparing, and submitting information and documentation to the various approvers throughout the process.
•Meeting with a diverse group of stakeholders to help ensure timely processing and approval of software requests.
•Reviewing, interpreting, and providing input on software license agreements and other software-related contractual documents.
•Researching whether there is already current software in use in the commonwealth that would meet the documented business needs.
•Providing general guidance to our customers on the software procurement approval process and its underlying policies and processes.
•Overall tracking and managing of the backlog of requests.
•Facilitating any requests for additional information that may arise during the approval process.
•Serving as an overall point of contact and subject matter expert for both agency and delivery center staff for the software procurement approval process.
Required Experience:
1. Required: 2+ years full-time experience managing projects (does not need to be in an official capacity as a project manager).
2. Required: 3+ years full-time experience dealing directly with customers.
3. Required: 1+ years of experience in vendor management.
4. Required: Strong leadership and organizational skills
5. Recommended: Degree in business related studies with a minor focus on management information systems or a combination of a business-related studies with a basic background in IT infrastructure.
