Role: Software Test Analyst - MES
Location/Time Zone: US / EST or CST
Experience Level: 5+ years in software testing with MES focus

Key Responsibilities:
Test Management:
Create and maintain standard test cases, test plans, and test data; perform various testing activities including regression, system, load, and performance testing.
Engage in SIT, UAT, and regression test activities for new implementations, software versions, and feature releases.
Test Automation:
Identify test cases for automation, create test definition documents, and coordinate with technical teams and Test COE.
Act as a liaison for the MES team with the Test COE and automation team.
Agile Methodology and Project Planning:
Understand Agile lifecycle, participate in Agile project planning, and make informed technology choices.
Define work scope, provide estimates, and justify them with facts.
Expertise and Continuous Improvement:
Possess domain knowledge, use tools like ALM, UFT, and Rally/Octane, and focus on improving quality through testing.
Take ownership of tasks, participate in non-program engineering improvements, and enhance team efficiency and productivity.
Additional,
Develop and execute test plans for MES applications, including functional, integration, and performance testing.
Design and manage test cases, automate routine tests, and conduct regression testing.
Log, track, and ensure timely resolution of software defects.
Collaborate with development teams to improve software quality and participate in continuous integration processes.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in MES systems like GE Proficy.
Strong experience with test management tools.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
Experience with scripting for test automation is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant certifications such as Advanced Test Analyst.
