Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Design, implement, and maintain SQL databases, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security.
  • Performance tuning, optimization, and monitoring of SQL databases to ensure high availability and responsiveness.
  • Develop, test, and implement database backup and recovery strategies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, providing root cause analysis.
  • Support the IT support team for any DB related issues
  • Participate and co-ordinate with MIM for any critical priority tickets where DB support is required
  • Support the underlying DB infrastructure
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries, schema design, and data models.
  • Implement and manage database security and access controls, including authentication and authorization.
  • Plan and implement database high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Monitor and manage database capacity and resource utilization.
  • Automate routine database maintenance and monitoring tasks.
  • Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging database technologies
     

Skills Required
 

  • 10+ Years of experience as a DBA as a Level 3 support
  • Experience of Infrastructure support (VMWare, Azure)
  • Hands on experience in managing PostgreSQL, MS SQL & Oracle
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability work as a contributing team member
  • Automation skills is good to have
  • Can perform day to day activities as DBA
  • A can do attitude
     

Understanding of ITIL delivery framework
