Responsibilities

 

  • Structural Design:
    • Lead the structural design and analysis of large-scale plants and refineries, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
    • Utilize advanced software tools for structural modeling and analysis.
  • Foundation Design:
    • Design and analyze foundations for various equipment, structures, and components within the plant/refinery, considering factors such as load distribution, settlement, and soil conditions.
  • Civil Site Development:
    • Oversee civil site development, including grading, drainage, and infrastructure design to support the overall functionality and safety of the facility.
  • Material Selection:
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to select appropriate construction materials, considering factors such as durability, cost, and environmental impact.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure that all civil and structural designs comply with relevant safety regulations, codes, and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to verify construction adherence to design specifications.
  • Project Management:
    • Work closely with project managers to develop project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
    • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate civil/structural designs into the overall project.

Qualifications:

 

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, with a focus on large-scale plant and refinery projects.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro).
    • Strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC).
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors.
