100% Remote

12+ months Contract

Project Scope / Components:

• Will be supporting multiple different projects

High-Level Individual Duties:

• Work closely with data analysts to transform specification into client algorithms (4 Oracle, 2 Snowflake)
• Code complex procedures to support new client algorithms (4 Oracle, 2 Snowflake)
• Contribute to technical documentation of specifications and processes
• Responsible for weekly data loads and balancing of 9 accounts (6 Oracle, 3 Snowflake)
• Investigate data anomalies to determine root cause, specify appropriate changes and work with engineering and operations teams as the change is implemented and tested
• Research client questions on data results by identifying underlying data elements leveraged and providing descriptions of data transformations involved
• Work closely with engineering and operations teams to answer questions and resolve data issues that arise
• Responsible for extracting and replicating data into a common data mart.
• Drive adoption of best practices and agreed upon design patterns
• Communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written forms, and be able to present and demonstrate work to technical and non-technical leadership

Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools):

1. 10+ years of Oracle Database experience
2. 5+ years of advanced PL/SQL and SQL experience
3. 5+ years od UNIX command prompt navigation, including VI editor –shell scripts
4. Healthcare claim data experience

Nice-to-Haves (Concepts & Tools):

1. Experience working in a matrixed environment on a fast-paced project
2. Experience developing within an agile framework
3. Experience with Snowflake
4. Experience with data loading tools (Talend, Informatica, Data Factory, ODI)
5. Exposure to cloud environments experience (Azure)

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Snowflake and ETL of healthcare data.
