We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our prime clients for a position Sr. Infrastructure Project Manager to work on Remote basis.
Notes from Manager:
- Manage technical infrastructure projects
- Manage and track server patch & schedule
- Track volume of patches and track completion
- Manage rollout of End Point management tool (doesn’t need to have prior experience managing an EndPoint rollout, but needs to be familiar with EndPoint tools/their functionality)
- Responsible for scheduling and managing Email Tenant migration (any email migration is fine, doesn’t need to be a specific one)
- Manage networking and fileshare migrations to sharepoint
- ERP Migration experience (Oracle is preferred but any ERP project will work, M&A is a HUGE plus)
Position Purpose
The Project Manager Senior is responsible for simultaneously directing the efforts of multiple cross-functional project teams to achieve clearly defined results within the triple constraints of time, budget and specifications for medium and high-complexity projects. This position is responsible for an average of 3-6 projects as well as low-complexity programs. The position is responsible for assembling the project team, developing the project work plan, and managing the expectations, deliverables and results of all internal and external project resources for the roles and activities defined in the plan. This includes managing outside vendors to ensure they meet contractual deliverables. The Project Manager is responsible for tracking project milestones and making necessary adjustments to the project plan or resources to maintain customer commitments. The Project Manager communicates project status and risks to all project stakeholders via standardized project status reports and manages the change process for each assigned project.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
- Manages three or more medium- to large-scale projects from planning to completion by facilitating meetings with project stakeholders. Develops, analyzes, and manages project estimation and execution plans, schedules, and resource forecasts. Manages project financials and provides input and justification for costs and budget impacts. Monitors overall project performance against plan and makes adjustments as needed. Identifies and resolves issues. Provides insight and direction for the request for information and vendor request for proposal processes.
- Manages the work of multiple project teams by recommending or requesting resources based on the alignment of team member skills and project demands. Communicates a clear vision of project goals and objectives to the team. Coordinates team activities to ensure project milestones are achieved. Lead and provide work direction to a project team to determine project scope, devise and maintain a workable plan, and to develop and deploy the solution in accordance with the needs of the project. Provides performance feedback to team members as needed.
- Manages, controls, and mitigates risks across multiple projects by analyzing and identifying trigger events. Manage the project change control process, status reporting, project estimating, monthly cost accounting and vendor invoice processing. Establishes contingency plans, anticipates and manages dependencies affected by ongoing changes across projects, and recommends ways to mitigate future risks. Influences management to take action on these recommendations.
- Manages the alignment, buy-in, and support of diverse project stakeholders by building and maintaining relationships with internal customers, third party vendors, and senior management. Manage interaction between the customer, vendors, and the internal project team to ensure that appropriate relationships exist to produce positive project outcomes. Provides insight and recommendations to Program Managers to drive the development of project goals, influence the prioritization of deliverables, and facilitate decisions necessary for project delivery.
- Adheres to enterprise project management practices by participating in formal and informal training sessions. Tracks and reports key metrics as needed. Gathers, maintains, and communicates lessons learned and feedback to team members, management, and the larger project management community.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- 6+ years of project management experience, including 8+ years of IT or related business experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience working on projects involving the implementation of project life cycle methodologies.
- Experience influencing and managing project teams without formal direct reporting relationships.
- Experience managing SDLC projects using an iterative methodology preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of PMI based project management competency areas and methodologies and experience applying these methods to manage successful projects.
- Analytical skills are required to effectively manage activities related to budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, process management, risk management, quality control and reporting.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and experience leveraging these skills to interact with all levels of management.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- High-level understanding of IT infrastructure and application architectures desired.
- High-level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Project.
- High-level of proficiency using Microsoft SharePoint.
Career Level Dimensions
Typical Training/Experience: Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 8+ years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 5+ years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.

Environmental Job Requirements
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
