This is a unique opportunity to work with Business, Application Development and Support teams, Monitoring Tools teams and to create Monitoring Requirements and build end-end monitoring solutions to support applications.
This is not an application development role, however experience working in some capacity with an application development team - understanding how different components in an application work together, interaction with the middleware, system software and Hardware is essential. Diverse engineering skills to architect and implement monitoring solutions
What you will do:
o 4-year college degree required
o 2+ years Development or Architecture experience for multi-tiered business applications
o 5+ years production systems Architecting and/or support role.
o Proven experience with supporting monitoring tools such as – Dynatrace, Tivoli, Splunk, SiteScope, Catchpoint
o Familiarity with supporting monitoring on Cloud and Containers infrastructure
o Knowledge of OS (Windows/Unix) based infrastructure services, processing, monitoring, shell scripts, etc.
o Proven experience in programming languages (Java and/or .NET)
o Proven experience in application/network performance and availability monitoring
o Proven experience in N-Tier Architecture supporting a multitude of products (Webserver, Middleware, Database, etc.)
o Knowledge of ITIL functions and processes
o An excellent communicator, able to network and influence across multiple levels is required of this role
o A self-motivated, hands-on, driven individual.
o A strategic thinker who can link business context to technical reality.
o Previous experience in development and/or support of Banking applications.
o Experience in Major Incident Management
The ideal candidate will have experience working and being successful in a large, multi-data center enterprise environment. Business acumen a plus. Communication and flexibility are important skills for this role, as special projects may be assigned over time.
