Sr. QA Automation Tester

Austin, TX (Remote within US)

6 months Contract with possibility to extension

Position Requirements:

• Review and provide insight into updating the existing Automation framework and provide recommendation, get buy-in and create new automation framework(s) for applications as needed.
• Collaborate with the project team for reviewing requirements, defining project scope, planning and delivering work timely
• Document Test Plans/Test cases and implement automation based on the agreed upon design and perform manual testing as appropriate under IVV's purview using Agile methodology.
• Perform advanced SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data.
• Assist with performance, load and accessibility testing.
• Validate existing testing strategy and tool set and provide recommendations to enhance tool set based on industry standards
• Provide timely updates for deliverable status and manage escalations appropriately
• Guide IVV team to enhance their automation skillset

Scope of Work:

• Review and provide insight into updating the existing Automation framework and provide recommendation, get buy-in and create new automation framework(s) for applications as needed.
• Document Functional/Regression/Automation testcases
• Participate in Agile testing
• Review, create/enhance/update Automation Framework.
• Identify load/performance testing scenarios and perform testing.
• Create Automation scripts and integrate to Jenkins pipelines or schedule jobs to run the tests at a certain cadence

Assigned Work:

Automation Framework/Script creation and updating for the PMO group of applications. SQL creation and updating for data setup and scripts. Manual testing of TSDS applications for maintenance releases as needed. Automation Framework/Script creation and updating for the Multi App group of applications Automation Framework/Script creation and updating for the TSDS group of applications

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of Automation Testing
• 8+ years of Web based Application testing
• 8+ years of performance and load testing
• 8+ years of Database testing

Preferred Skills:

• 8 + Years of complex Web Application Testing
• 8+ years in-depth experience with creating Automation Frameworks and Automation Tests using Selenium, TestNG or any other functional automation testing tool
• 8+ years of experience performing performance and load testing
• 8+ years of Database /SQL language experience
• 5+ Years of Java or similar Object-Oriented programming language
• 5+ years of XML, JSON, API testing experience
• Experience with:
  • WAPT Pro or any other performance testing tools
  • WAVE/JAWS or any other accessibility testing tools
  • JIRA, Zephyr Scale or similar tools
  • Postman or other API Testing tools
  • Oracle, SQL Server or similar Databases
