Responsibilities -

Design and implementation details reviewed/approved by Client SRE
Implementation to use current IAC assets where applicable and write new scripts as needed
For all new assets that are developed to be delivered, primary focus is on re-usability and extensibility
Implementation to utilize client toolsets, following clients established patterns
Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health
Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications
Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions
Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve
Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts
Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives

Required Skills And Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Architecting, Coding, DevOps, IaC and SRE
Well-verse with OOP concepts and design patterns
Expertise in Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Jenkins, Istio, Apigee, VPC automation, GKE, Compute Engine and associated common GCP technologies 
Capacity forecasting, sizing, performance and load testing
Exposure to Observability tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Stackdriver, Splunk, etc.) 
Exposure to standardized Change and Release Management practices 
Complicated enterprise application architectures (N-Tier, Service Oriented Architecture)Bachelor's degree in computer science or other highly technical, scientific discipline
Ability to program (structured and OO) with one or more high level languages, such as Python, Java, C/C++, .NET, Ruby, and JavaScript
Experience with distributed storage technologies like NFS, HDFS, Ceph, S3 as well as dynamic resource management frameworks (Mesos, Kubernetes, Yarn)
