Qualifications - External
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
Should have a bachelor's or master's degree in life science; however, certification may also be required.
Handle a team of 10-20 coders.
Firm knowledge base to do outpatient and hospital coding.
Exhibit a high level of individual initiative.
Ability to draft policy and procedures
Ability to effectively provide 1 on 1 coaching
Ability to monitor absences and overall day to day operations.
Ability to do QA Reviews.
Ability to provide coding guidance to peers.
Ability to identify areas of weakness and provide educational teaching to improve those areas of weakness.
Ability to be project leader.
Ability to guide peers in the absence of a Senior Team Lead and or Manager.
Ability to communicate effectively to the team members.
Ability to maintain 95% Accuracy and 95% Completeness.
Having 4+ years of experience with at least 1-2 years as Team Lead.
