Job Description:

  • Writes and maintains test scripts based on software requirements and design documents.
  • Confirms function, performance, integration, and acceptance test results are in accordance with the application and departmental standards.
  • Verifies that system requirements are traceable, consistent, complete, and testable.
  • Verifies that software applications perform in accordance with system requirements and specifications.
  • Analyze test results and report to the development team.
  • Performs requirements, design, and code walkthroughs/reviews as requested.
  • Develops test plans, scripts, scenarios, and implementation plans that demonstrate concrete, consistent, and observable results.
  • Measures the severity of failures and defects in accordance with test plan guidelines.
  • Accurately and thoroughly documents application performance failures and defects during each quality review session.
  • Clearly and accurately communicates test results to programming staff and/or appropriate management staff.
  • Regularly enters issues/defects related to the test life cycle or change control environment into the applicant tracking system.
  • Conducts testing meetings, as necessary, for problems encountered during the test life cycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field AND 5 years of experience in Information Technology testing, and quality.
  • assurance and the performance of change management functions, 3 years of which must have been attained in a cross-platform Information Technology development environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of testing methodology and practices.
  • Working knowledge of relevant operating systems and software development fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with automated test tools.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL.
  • Strong process and gap analysis skills.
  • Ability to interpret test cases for high-level and functional processes.
  • 2 years of experience with QA testing and script writing.
  • Good understanding of the system test life cycle, the review process, and test case documentation.
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
  • Well-versed with Agile, Scrum, and waterfall methodologies.
  • Good team working and critical thinking skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of MS Excel, JIRA, and Client ALM.

Any Graduate
