We have an immediate full time opening for a Systems Administrator. Our Systems Administrator will be responsible for onboarding and supporting small and medium scale enterprise business networks, both remotely, and on-site. Our System Administrator will be engaged with design and interoperability of the company network and information systems. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, servers, storage, and communication links as well as working alongside the network and system administration team to help resolve business critical systems issues. The System Administrator will also work cross functionally with other ICS Support teams to deliver comprehensive IT solutions. This position requires excellent communication and strong technical skills.
Essential Duties:
– Manage Lab Infrastructure and support clients and their projects
– Organize and maintain Active Directory and Group Policy Objects
– Design and support virtualized infrastructure
– Design and support disaster recovery infrastructure
– Manage Cisco and Microsoft Remote Access technologies
– Optimize and support backup and recovery systems
– Develop scripts to automate daily job functions
– Design and support cloud infrastructure
– Establish dashboards, metrics, and reports of systems infrastructure performance
– Create and maintain outage and system alerts for proactive and reactive responses
– Document workflows, processes, procedures, and configurations of infrastructure services
– Act as a final escalation point for IT systems issues
– Work with a wide range of complex and emerging technologies
– Evaluate and assist in the selection of IT Infrastructure management software
– Systems Administrators will also be engaged with network support services as well as project deployments.
– Update Documentatio on a regular basis and participate in the lab building and documentation process
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge and background in supporting the following technologies:
– Minimum of 3 years of hands on experience in small to large scale enterprise system design, implementation, and support
– Active Directory design, configuration and maintenance
– A solid understanding of networking, and how infrastructure services interact (e.g. DHCP, DNS, VPN, VLANs, routing, Switching)
– Experinece with cisco and Juniper routers and switches
– Exchange Server, 2003 thru 2016 design, configuration and maintenance
– Hosted Services including Office 365, DropBox, box.net and other cloud services
– Hypervisors: VMware ESXi, vCenter, vSphere, Microsoft Hyper V Server
– Windows Remote Desktop Server , Terminal Server
– Server hardware support including: HP DL, ML, Dell PowerEdge,
– iSCSI or fiber channel SAN, NAS
– Expereince with Backup solutions
– Corporate Anti-Virus Solutions
– Deployment level knowledge of OpenStack
– Practical and applied experience with network technologies including routers, switches and business class firewalls DNS and hosted services management
Additional Skills & Preferred Certifications:
– Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft MCP, MCITP, MCSA, or MCSE, Citrix CCEA or CCIA, SonicWall CSSA, Cisco CCNA, or VMware VCP
