The Systems Architect is a key member of the enterprise architecture team that ensures the Bank's application and infrastructure landscape supports the Bank's enterprise architecture and strategic direction. The Systems Architect has the responsibility for architectural design and documentation at a system or subsystem level.
Accountabilities
Develop and communicate a holistic view of the Bank's Application and Infrastructure Architecture, while developing and shaping the application and infrastructure roadmap components of the IT Strategy
Collaborate with technical teams and management to devise application strategy and roadmaps for Bank applications in alignment within architecture domains (business, data, application, infrastructure, security)
Collaborate with development teams, architects, management, and business stakeholders to ensure application and infrastructure architecture is aligned with business requirements and IT standards. Review proposed and implemented solutions and designs to ensure alignment with the Enterprise Architecture and applicable standards
Develop, manage, and apply architecture standards and policies guiding the design, development, and implementation of solutions
Develop and maintain enterprise architecture artifacts (e.g., application catalogs, context models, system diagrams) to keep them current, accurate, relevant, and accessible
Mentor and guide Information Technology teams on application and solution architectures
Provide guidance to project teams, ensuring compliance to IT strategy, application, and infrastructure standards
Monitor and understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models
Assist with designing the governance, assurance and standards activities associated with ensuring enterprise application and infrastructure architecture compliance
Identify the organizational impact and financial impact of the enterprise application and infrastructure architecture
Define high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the current and future state for core application and infrastructure components
Qualifications
10 + years of experience in enterprise application design and development experience; infrastructure roles at a technical level (e.g. infrastructure solution architecture, network design, servers and storage, etc.) with a wide understanding of the infrastructure and/or application domain
Proven experience with formal architectural design and delivery; knowledge of architecture-based methodologies and architecture tool sets
Proven ability to design solutions that are scalable, high performance, and fulfill business requirements
Strong understanding and knowledge of IT standards and controls
Understanding and knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL
Excellent understanding of application development methodologies and infrastructure and network architecture
Understanding of DevSecOps practices including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
Bachelor's degree
