So, what’s the role all about?

As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for performing system administrative functions such as patch management, trouble-shooting hardware, application and OS issues, and deploying customer environments using Windows Server and Linux in a highly secure service provider environment.

How will you make an impact?

Deploying Windows OS images on servers
Performing routine system patching and general administration on Windows and Linux servers
Providing Level 3 technical support for systems related issues
Providing Level 1 technical support for security related issues
Maintaining currency with an IT asset management system
Developing and maintaining system documentation
Participating in a 24 x 7 on-call rotation schedule

Have you got what it takes?

BS/BA in computer science or information systems
4+ years system administration experience in a Windows server environment
Knowledge of scripting with Windows Power Shell or other current scripting languages
Familiar with TCP/IP network fundamentals and common protocols such as FTP, SSH, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS
Knowledge of scripting with Windows Power Shell or other current scripting languages
Experience with various systems management, monitoring, diagnostic, and troubleshooting tools
Excellent technical problem solving skills combined with strong customer service attitude
Good understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities. 
Certifications in vendor or industry technologies, e.g. Microsoft, Linux, etc

You will have an advantage if you also have:

Hands on experience working in a data center environment
Experience in virtualization
Experience working in a Security compliant environment (e.g. PCI/SOX/HiTrust/ISO)
Familiarity with ITIL framework
Familiarity with Systems Management software especially BigFix
