Systems Engineer

A Systems Engineer job is currently available at Belcan in Windsor, CT 06095. This is a full-time, direct position with benefits. JOB DUTIES:
- Support requirements capture, definition, analysis, requirements change management, requirement maturity metrics, and traceability efforts.
- Generate and/or support requirements management plans and system and component specifications for mechanical, electro-mechanical, and software products.
- Support Systems Requirements Review and demonstrate requirements maturity to internal and external customers.
- Work within multi-disciplinary teams and proactively collaborates with technical leads and design engineers.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Systems, Mechanical, or Aerospace engineering
- Advanced knowledge of DOORS
- Advanced Requirements Decompositions skills
- Able to perform all related requirements decomposition activities (e.g. traceability, reviews, etc…)
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work to firm, established deadlines
- Able to travel at least once within the U.S. for 1 to 2 weeks
- Due to the nature of the work U.S. Citizenship is required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of system design definition through architecture definition, trade studies, modeling, and simulation.
- Knowledge of risk management and mitigation on new design and development programs
