Responsibilities Include
Serve as a senior member of technical production support (L2-L1) to the Asset Management New York division, comprised of multiple trading applications hosted in heterogenous environments and having critical processing activities performed.
Provide timely and efficient technical support for the settlement, confirmation and asset servicing applications.
Extend knowledge and develop expertise in specific systems and business areas. Provide expert opinion on issues and queries affecting the functionality and design of the systems being looked after.
Develop an understanding of technical or business drivers and strategies that drive the direction of departmental or client initiatives.
Perform deep-dive investigations on complex system issues, provide solutions, and put forth proactive measures wherever applicable. Pro-actively seek to minimize potential application support problems through root cause analysis and monitoring. Be responsible for production stability and Major Incident management ("MIM")
Act as a liaison between end users and various IT teams (application development, infrastructure support, etc) on all application support related queries and actively embrace interaction with business groups
Collaborates with Service Continuity and Business Continuity Management (BCM) teams to plan and manage execution of Events like DR, Process Flow Tests, QMW and Emergency Patching of Production Environment.
Promote knowledge transfer and participate in knowledge documenting, sharing and improvement within team
Education & Professional Qualifications
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering
Essential Requirements
Production application support experience with business users and financial / banking do-main
Technical knowledge and skills with SQL/PLSQL/Marklogic, Linux and Windows
Understanding of batch schedulers (e.g. Control M) and reporting engines (QLIK)
Experience with .Net and web based technologies on a support level at least
Detailed knowledge & working experience of ITIL methodologies
Working knowledge of monitoring and support tools like GENEOS, Splunk & ServiceNow
Additional Skills Which Treated As a Plus
Knowledge of trade lifecycle and F2B processes
Knowledge of financial products e.g. Equity, SWAPS, Futures, Fixed Income, Commodities
Experience in any Trading management applications like Charles River Investment Management System
Trade floor users support experience
