Description

Telecom Administrator with 6+  years experience working with Cisco Unified Communications applications including Call Manager, Unity Connection, Jabber, WebEx.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Telecom Administrator proficient in managing Cisco Unified Communications applications, including Call Manager, Unity Connection, Jabber, and WebEx. As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our telecommunications infrastructure to ensure seamless communication within our organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. System Administration:
    • Administer Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Call Manager) to ensure reliable and efficient call routing and telephony services.
    • Manage Unity Connection for voicemail and unified messaging services, including user provisioning and customization.
    • Configure and maintain Jabber for instant messaging, presence, and softphone capabilities across various devices.
    • Oversee WebEx collaboration tools, including setup, integration, and user support.
  2. Infrastructure Management:
    • Monitor and maintain the overall health and performance of the telecommunications infrastructure.
    • Conduct routine system upgrades, patches, and updates to ensure system security and stability.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to voice and video communication services promptly.
  3. User Support:
    • Provide technical support and training to end-users on Cisco Unified Communications applications.
    • Assist users with configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of their communication tools.
    • Address user inquiries and service requests related to telephony and collaboration services.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
    • Generate regular reports on system performance, usage statistics, and any incidents or outages.
  5. Collaboration and Integration:
    • Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to integrate Cisco Unified Communications applications with other systems and applications.
    • Work closely with network engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimal network performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • Cisco certifications such as CCNA Collaboration, CCNP Collaboration, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience administering Cisco Unified Communications applications, particularly Call Manager, Unity Connection, Jabber, and WebEx.
  • Strong understanding of VoIP protocols, SIP, H.323, and telephony concepts.
  • Proficiency in network troubleshooting tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience with other collaboration tools and platforms.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based communication solutions.
  • Experience with scripting and automation for system management tasks.
