Test Automation Engineer

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Translate business and functional requirements to create appropriate test documentation (scripts, test plans, etc.) and acceptance criteria using the Gherkin language.
• Develop, execute, and maintain JAVA code and automated test scripts for regression, API, and usability tests.
• Develop test automation strategies and approaches that incorporate multiple phases of testing.
• Maintain automated test environments in a continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) framework.
• Manage and maintain quality-related metrics like unit test coverage and testing progress.
• Lead the creation, review, and maintenance of project testing documentation in accordance with department policies, procedures, and Treasury standards.
• Log defects and enhancements into Jira.
• Adhere to team testing and security standards.
• Assist in manual testing and UAT preparation as needed.
• Collaborate with the team and all members of the Scrum team to ensure the appropriate implementation of requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in automated testing.
• Highly developed competency with Selenium HQ.
• Experience with Java.
• Experience with Bamboo or comparable scripting language.
• Experience with JIRA and Xray is beneficial.
• Understanding of creating reusable test data.
• Experience with API testing.
• Experience with Eclipse or IntelliJ and experience with a source control tool.
• knowledgeable of Gherkin language.
• Experience with Cucumber is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills and written communications.
• High standards of confidentiality; ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and trust.
