Motorola Mobility is seeking a talented UX designer for our Monetization & Services Design Group. The Monetization & Services group is responsible for creating growth & monetization channels for Motorola smartphone & software products. From building SSO & user account management applications to interfacing with external revenue share partners, the Monetization & Services Group is responsible for identifying growth opportunities while ensuring that user-centered design is at the forefront of our process. The Monetization & Services group is part of the User Experience Design Group (UXD), one of the critical departments of Motorola's larger Consumer Experience & Design organization. We are creative problem-solvers, design lovers, and innovators who work together to deliver user-centered design solutions. If this sounds like you, we want to meet you. This role is for our Sáo Paolo/Jaquarina studio in Brazil. You’ll be joining a global design organization, with offices in Chicago, Brazil, and China.

Key areas

UX Design & Experience development — As a UX designer you’ll be responsible for contributing to the UX development of in-house apps and services. You’ll work hand in hand with UI designers, product managers, and engineers to define an app or experience life. The ideal candidate will bring proficient UX design skills, the ability to build wireframes and flows, and build prototypes to validate design hypotheses. You’ll be responsible for high-quality design deliverables, and ensuring that the final product going to users meets our standard of quality, aesthetic & usability.

Responsibilities

 

  • Create intuitive, usable interfaces that leverage the Moto design system
  • Work within the design process throughout the project cycle (discovery, concept, delivery)
  • Positively represent the design perspective in discussions with partners & stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other designers to ideate and refine high-quality deliverables
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (UI, PM, engineering)
  • Ensure the quality & fidelity of the design by testing apps & communicating with development partners
  • Deliver detail-oriented, high-quality design work on time
  • Visually communicate ideas and concepts
  • Regularly present ongoing work to design team & design leadership
  • Give and receive peer reviews in order to elevate work quality
  • Create user-centered design work, incorporate user feedback, prioritize usability
  • Clearly document deliverables and create detailed specifications
  • Help design leadership foster a constructive environment with emphasis on creativity, collaboration, and inclusiveness


     

Qualifications

 

  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written & visual)
  • Experience with digital product design & development
  • Experience working with design systems
  • Strong examples of mobile design
  • Experience working on a multifunctional product team
  • Experience in ecommerce check out experiences or monetization apps
  • Passion and understanding of UI principles
  • Experience working within Android design system
  • Demonstrated understanding of user-centered design & design process
  • Demonstrated ability to develop detail oriented & premium digital products
  • Demonstrated ability to work with PM/SW to ship high-quality products
  • Experience working with software development teams
  • Proficient in working in a fast-paced agile multi-disciplinary environment
  • Proficient knowledge of design tools like Sketch, Figma, and various prototyping tools
  • Storytelling - the ability to communicate ideas in a compelling way
  • English proficiency required
