VMWare System Development Engineer

Key job responsibilities:

Working with modern endpoint management solutions
Patching Automation of Windows and Linux Systems
Developing 1st party or Deploying 3rd Party Software Patching Systems
Patching critical systems to maintain uptime and availability
Developing/Deploying/Managing Modern Endpoint Systems to deliver software to users like SSM/SCCM/Endpoint Manage/JAMF
Deploying/Managing OS Imaging and Image Deployment Services in hybrid physical and cloud environments with tools such as PXE boot, Golden Images, and WinPE
Deploy/Manage configuration policies
Design and build endpoint management solutions for application, configuration, and compliance
Support Windows and Linux Server/Client operating systems
Heavy focus on automation for management tasks and building self-healing services
Deploy Infra as Code with Chef, Puppet, Ansible, CDK, DSC via CI/CD
Develop/Manage shared computer kiosks, single user PC's, and multi-user workstations with both Windows and *nix OS
Build endpoint device and systems management solutions on AWS
Experience with VDI technologies utilizing both cloud and on-premise tools such as Citrix, VMWare, AWS, and Azure

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
5+ years of Systems Development experience, including hands-on development work, client-server architecture
Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming language such as Java, Python, or C++
Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems or web services
Experience in managing large scale infrastructure and automation
