is looking for part-time support to design, develop, and update Sharepoint website pages, widgets, and dynamic tables on our state website (oregon.gov/OYA). We'll likely need your help 10-20 hours per week for 3-6 months.

 

Part time position and flexible on time zone / work hours. Some work hours should overlap with 8am - 5pm PST each week to allow for meetings if needed. Remote work. Computer will be provided by the state.

 

Individuals with experience designing and developing content for websites that includes, but is not limited to the development of graphics, icons and other visual content. Has experience in daily content publishing and writing for multiple audiences; proficiency in the use of content management software, such as Microsoft SharePoint. May require an associate's degree or its equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. More than years of experience, we are interested in a person who is skilled at Sharepoint web design, efficient, responsive, collaborative, and a good teammate.

 

Tasks will include:

 

meeting with OYA team members to develop realistic ideas for redesigning their internet and intranet site pages

mocking up pages and providing guidance about what is possible to achieve goals of content

designing new and redesigning and editing existing site pages

maintaining our very organized data/content libraries in Sharepoint and posting updated documents

assist with OYA’s annual web content review and updating project

working with team members and communications staff to write and edit content for new and existing pages

potentially providing basic Sharepoint training to limited numbers of staff

Oregon Youth Authority works with youth who are incarcerated at the state level, ages 12-24. We provide opportunities for education and reformation for youth while they are in our custody, using the principles of positive human development, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and data-informed decision making.
