Job Description:
Job Purpose:: The Web Administrator (Tech Lead) provides operational support of the web server infrastructure in order to maintain optimal performance and functionality of multiple websites.
This includes the installation, configuration, administration, maintenance and tuning of web servers.
Additionally, the Web Administrator troubleshoots server issues and provides technical support to Web design and development teams.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supports the installation, configuration, security, operations, and maintenance of all web servers, application servers and other software.
- Conducts application and infrastructure monitoring
- Monitors usage statistics and logs and produces reports on user and web site behavior.
- Implement updates, upgrades, and patches in a timely manner to limit loss of service.
- Troubleshoots web/application server problems and security issues and resolves as necessary.
- Tests backups or recovery plans regularly and resolves any issues.
- Collaborates with development teams to discuss, analyze, or resolve usability issues. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities ¿ JBOSS mandatory (Automated deployment, troubleshooting and Upgrade experience).
- Understanding on Artifactory (Jfrog, Nexus etc.. ¿ all are fine).
- Working knowledge on Jenkins workflow.
- Working knowledge on GIT commands.
- Working knowledge on Certificate Renewal as well as Linux commands.
- Understanding on Monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Wily, Nagios etc..).
- Understanding on Incident, Change & Problem management. Good to have (Brownie points): a. F5 load Balancer (VIP creation, irules, BIGIP etc) b. Automic ARA AE Broadcomm Exposure c. Akamai (Whitelisting etc..) d. Google Apigee e. Cold Fusion f. Upgrade for Artifactory, tomcat, Jenkins, Apigee Education and Experience ¿ Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and/or education.
- 8+ years experience doing application or infrastructure support in an enterprise setting.
