WMS Developer

Job Description:
A well-established distributor is looking for a contract WMS Developer. This position is responsible for providing expertise in the areas of solution design, development, and support for our Körber (HighJump) WMS implementations and related applications. The related applications and solutions include warehouse controls systems, voice solutions, slot optimization software, label printing and integration development. This is a 6+month remote position, contract or possible contract to hire.

What Will You Do?
* Design, develop, and maintain implementations of HighJump's (Koerber) WMS Solution. This includes developing in Page Editor, Advantage Architect and SQL Server stored procedures
* Solicit business requirements from business partners and develop a well-defined requirements document
* Document code changes in compliance with established standards and best practices
* Manage deadlines by balancing deliverables from multiple projects, production support, and system administration tasks
* Partner with internal resources such as DBA's and the Infrastructure team to ensure solution development is delivered in alignment with the company objectives and guidelines
* Provide training to business partners as needed and assume an analyst role when required
* Define and develop test cases and help facilitate quality assurance and user acceptance testing with business partners
* Assist with development and rollout of solutions to users, including testing and troubleshooting issues that arise during end user training and user acceptance testing
* Ability to understand business impact and utilize this skill to ensure priority and focus is applied to the most appropriate business needs
* Other duties as assigned, such as providing end user and application support and on occasion working outside of normal business hours (M-F 8 to 5pm) to support the business
What Education and Experience Should You Have?
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent fields
* Koerber (HighJump Software) Platform development experience (5+ years preferred)
* Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL / Oracle / PostgreSQL (5+ years preferred)
* Strong understanding of supply chain, warehousing and operations
* Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to deal with ambiguity in a rapidly changing business environment and deliver quality results on time
* Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Position may require some travel
* Self-starter, results-oriented, ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously
* Must be able to work independently and collaboratively across the different IT and business functions
* Must have a good understanding of business processes and a learning mindset
* Familiarity with project management methodologies such as waterfall, agile, etc.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent time management skills
