Job Summary

8+ years of experience with product implementations and a background in HR Software required.

The HRIS Project Manager is responsible for managing the deployment of key Workday HCM technology. This role will maintain strong partnership with Project team, HR IT resources and Cross-functional teams to translate HR business processes into system requirements and guide the organization through technology-related change to increase user engagement and successful adoption.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leads and/or participates in technology projects to include business case development, project planning and management, requirements gathering, specification documentation, test planning and execution, deployment, and post-deployment support.
  • Recommends and implements streamlined HR processes that provide efficiencies through automation.
  • Provides general system support, including troubleshooting, data validation, testing and user training.
  • Identifies and analyzes business needs and requirements and partners with global resources for configuration, testing and move to production.
  • Manages project issues and risks, communicates status and escalates concerns to business partners.
  • Engages internal partners with requirements gathering, process design and gap analysis.
  • Generates and maintains key project documents, project plans, project workbooks, status reports, issue and resolution logs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Be an expert in Workday's Implementation Methodology and use on all engagements
  • Manage 1 - 2 large Workday product implementations concurrently
  • 5+ years of progressive responsibility in HRIS management, including large-scale HCM system implementation and maintenance (Workday, Oracle, ADP experience a plus)
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills; ability to effectively plan, set priorities and manage resources
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated strong planning, analytical & collaboration skills
  • Demonstrate technical and domain competencies in Workday HCM, and specific knowledge around the time tracking and absence managment modules
  • Ensure projects are properly planned and staffed while mentoring team members and customer
  • The Project Manager is responsible for planning the project in order to accomplish its goals or produce the products required within constraints such as time, cost and agreed quality standards
  • Assist in the transition of the customer from professional services to Workday customer support
  • Experience with various requirements elicitation techniques and familiarity with various estimation and design techniques

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 8 Years of experince as Software Developer 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Closely related field is required
  • 5+ years of progressive responsibility in HRIS management, including large-scale HCM system implementation and maintenance (Workday, Oracle, ADP experience a plus)
