Role Overview: The Workstation Engineer will be a crucial addition to our User Infrastructure team, responsible for maintaining, supporting, and fortifying workstation infrastructure within our esteemed financial organization. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Financial industry, exhibiting a robust knowledge base in core infrastructure technologies including Microsoft Operating systems, Virtualization (VMware and Citrix), SCCM, PowerShell scripting, and exceptional communication and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Virtualization Infrastructure:
 

  • Provide operational support for VMware environment pertaining to workstation support and security remediation.
  • Support Citrix environment for patch deployment and application installation.

Workstation Infrastructure:
 

  • Manage Windows workstation security remediation and patch management through SCCM.
  • Oversee application patching and security package deployment.
  • Research and implement patch management solutions for workstations, virtual desktops, and printers using Group Policy (GPO) where applicable.
  • Automate routine tasks related to workstation support using PowerShell.

 

Soft Skills:

 

  • Coordinate, schedule, track, and remediate security issues involving multiple teams.
  • Conduct security solution research based on active vulnerabilities and implement fixes securely and sustainably.
  • Requirements:
  • 5+ years' overall IT experience with a minimum of 3 years in the Financial industry.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination abilities.
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience collaborating in a team-oriented environment.
