Yugabyte/Postgres Engineer

JD;- • Should have experience with enterprise-scale Yugabyte deployments, including intra- and inter-data-center high availability configurations, fault tolerance and failover, replication, cluster management, automated cluster provisioning, rolling upgrade techniques, backup & restoration techniques, security mechanisms, health monitoring and alerting techniques, and troubleshooting. • Position will be responsible for: o Figuring out the ins and outs of how Yugabyte works. o Set it up for high availability across datacenters, across regions. o How to back it up, How to restore it, and How to set it up for monitoring, alerting, and diagnostics. • Solid knowledge of DBMS concepts such as ACID, CAP and consistency. • Skill at the Unix command line • The ability to write code or script, e.g. for test harnesses or other database-related tools and utilities
